The World of Tomalav

Once upon a time

I sit here with you now, in the very tavern where it all began. The fair maiden Leala was found dead in the meadow not far from here to the north, just beyond the the wheat fields. Her traveling friend Helmut, had said they were exploring a castle they had found When a horde of Orc’s attacked. But Orc’s don’t stab you in the back….

If you have time I will tell you of the story of those five adventures, those Hero’s. For I know all about them, you see, I am The Golden Troubadour.

There is Elenrian, the beautiful young Elf Ranger and her trusted friend Fendrel, the noble fighter, who’s quick wit and even quicker sword keeps evil at bay. They found Datyin, the old elf mage to be a strong ally in the search for adventure. Then I tell you of Lyander Moringstar, Elf, a “finder of things”. Finally the last and most puzzling one Ted “son of Edward” the Holy man. Why a man of his deep faith would travel with this band, it most certainly is a test from his God.

It was in the year of Eluth, following the march of the Orc horde that destroyed most of King’s Eldridge’s castles and armies. Lord Valdislaus drove the Orc’s and their allies back to the north to the Mountains of Shadows. Then Proclaimed himself King of Tomalav. King Eldridge’s mage Jafan escaped the Orc invasion and Lord Valdislaus’s crowning and had created an Army of undead to start his own rule and crush Lord Valdislaus, but early in the winter of that season the exalted Paladin Abaddon killed Jafan and a small army of skeletons thus clearing the way for peace in the land under King Valdislaus. Peace was short lived, as King Valdislaus grew tired of peace…..for he was a man of War. The next 50 years there was war after war, between King Valdislaus and the Knights of the Eye order. The current King King Roland is a Paladin of the Knights of Eye order and has ruled for the last 17 years……but the struggle continues.

There are 5 young adventurers, follow the tales of their adventures as they begin in The World of Tomalav!
